My AS students think I'm a bit sad being on Twitter.
So, I find it a bit difficult to understand this:
So, I find it a bit difficult to understand this:
I brought Furby to college today. The kids loved him. (???!)
There was a reason for it and this also meant he had to have a bit of a wash before he was allowed to go. I made sure I fed and petted it so that it wouldn't say 'No' when I asked it to sing. I was using him as a warning of what can happen when sensors are misused.
But, no, the strange creatures that are teenagers thought he was great. But then again they think the Blue Fluffy Coulomb is pretty cool too.
We've being doing sensors and this morning was about their practical application. I let the kids loose on the equipment and it all went rather well.
But not everything went according to plan. I completely forgot to put a clip from Red Dwarf on my USB stick. In Advancing Physics there is a piece about a Braun toaster that uses sensors to perfectly toast your bread. Such an unmissable opportunity to slip in Talkie Toaster - and I missed it. Damn!
